Delightful! Grace Murphy is like an urban fantasy Stephanie Plum!

I immediately liked Grace Murphy. She is a great character and a great mother, and I only hope my kids think I'm that cool. (Fat chance!)

Fun, perky but flawed, she's real.

As a huge fan of Greek myth and Stephanie Plumb, I really enjoyed this book.

I've already bought the sequel, Rifts, and can't wait to read it.

Just simply a great read. Characters are so believable. I've had so many of the same conversations with my 10 and 12 year olds. Loved the action scenes. Great story premise. Highly recommended if you're looking for some good fantasy fiction. Can't wait for part 2.

Having just finished the first Grace Murphy novel, "Huntress", by new author Nicole Hamlett, I find myself already (and breathlessly) anticipating the next one. Grace is one of those characters who is immediately likeable and one that you wish you could meet in real life. She's a 'true' human being with all the quirks and fears that we all face but with a compelling difference: Here parents are Greek Gods and she's got some kick ass powers that she's only just beginning to understand and some very typical but very powerful extended family members. They may be 'gods' but they are just as weird, loving and dysfunctional as any family.

Fans of Jim Butcher's Harry Dresden will want to sit up and take notice as Grace and Harry have a lot in common from their snarky senses of humor, their entertaining and scene-stealing sidekicks, their oh-so-human foibles and their alarming ability to cross paths with otherworldly creatures.

Grace is a wonderfully executed character with a tremendous voice and sense of humor. She is at once strong and vulnerable. She is funny and down to earth. She's one of those characters who allows her readers to relate to her on just about every level.

Honestly, there are not enough good things to say about "Huntress" the novel or Hamlett as the author. Both will be powerful voices in the sci-fi genre for years to come!
