About Shawn Chesser

Shawn Chesser, a practicing father, has been a zombie fanatic for decades. He likes his creatures shambling, trudging and moaning. As for fast, agile, screaming specimens... not so much. He  lives in Portland, Oregon, with his wife, two kids and three fish.

This book grabbed me right from the beginning. I liked the Portland, Oregon setting. It's very scary to imagine just what it would be like to have a real zombie apocalypse.

I love the zombie genre. I lost sleep reading this book as I could not put it down. I can't wait to see if Cade completes his mission.

This was an excellent zombie read. Plenty of action and excitement throughout. I loved that I couldn't guess what was coming next, a very intense novel that keeps you on your toes. Also grammatically correct, never noticed any errors. This helps make it a very easy & smooth read as well. A must read if you're a zombie fan like me.

This book was fun to read, and it was extremely tension-filled. The scenes are painted with enough visceral detail that it makes your skin crawl. My cat made a weird noise while I was reading, and it made me jump. I look forward to the next book by this author.

A good quick read. Enough detail to develop characters and scenes, but not too much to bore you. Plenty of realism to keep you hooked even if you don't like zombies. I will definitely read the next installment. Well done.

I usually do not read books in this genre. I am more of a, Girl with a Dragon Tattoo fan, but I was pleasantly surprised. The book was not a trudge to read! Nonstop action and very creepy. If you are into zompoc novels and enjoy military realism then skip 1 trip to Starbucks and download away!!
