About Cynthia Meyers-Hanson

I work for GOD! I write many nonfictions that are really just scribing the history of HIS Stories. My tales are Christian based; at least one of those books points directly to HEAVEN. I explain how bad situations and good ones have the potential to bring hope and love along with stronger faith.

My favorite question during book interviews is: How did you get started? The short answer is that my mother died. Some people dream of being authors; my writing began as what could be described as a nightmare! HOWEVER- as she died, mom’s experiences ran the gamut from going through all the grieving steps a terminal soul follows to having what would be called a Christian Near Death Experience (NDE). When most of her messages from God panned out, people in my area buzzed with the story of my parent’s death. My witness became my first book entitled Mom’s on the Roof and I can’t Get Her Down. After that, I completed seven Christian based, inspirational nonfictions.

Changes were coming! Due to a genealogy study, after meeting with some cousins at a local grave yard, I wrote my first novel. Talk about relatives coming out of the woodwork when they think you are famous. I am jesting- of course! My relatives handed me some incredible family secrets asking me to compile a book. I agreed but only if it could be a fiction with tons of poetic license. To date, I’ve released four novels.

Then, the really fun writing started. Last year, while working for free at my daughter and her husband’s Christmas tree lot, I blogged my experiences. My encounters that holiday led to my first children’s book ‘Frasier the Fir is Forever Green.’ There are, now, five unique, picture books to choose from. FYI: one of the titles feed homeless and impoverished children through its royalties.

The raw emotion Cynthia must have endured while writing this pulls at your heart! You will need tissues. She writes about what her family and friends went through during her mothers battle with cancer. It's inspirational, loving, sad. I didnt want to put it down. I applaud Cynthia, she's one strong author, woman, mother, daughter, sister, friend, wife. That's what she was through this whole story. AMAZING!

Mom’s on the Roof is told with the writer’s wry sense of humour and faith. It is a story of a daughter’s love for her parents, as she navigates her mother’s illness and then cares for her in her dying days. When she thinks all is done more comes to task her strength and faith. The writer gives the reader and insight into the pain and the fear one goes through in such troubled times. Having gone through losing both my parents to cancer this book brought back those feelings of fear and the grief but also remembered joys and last shared moments. The writer’s revelations of death bed disclosures give the reader a feeling that life goes on beyond death. A truly heartwarming story of faith, love and finding your inner strength, in the face of pain, tragedy, cancer and death that will make the reader cry but in the end, smile. A must read for anyone who has lost someone close to them.

The moving, heartwarming, touching story of a family's journey through cancer. Mom is diagnosed with cancer and the rest of the family tries to cope and handle all that encompasses. It's never easy and each one learns something new through the process. It's a never ending journey when shortly after Mom passes, Dad passes too. One family tragedy after another. One daughter becomes stronger than she ever dreamed she could be. She learns more about herself with each new challenge.

I can't recommend this book enough!!! For anyone who has lost a parent, or had a family member deal with cancer, this will open your eyes. If you approach this with an open mind, you will see what death can be, and how it actually is at times. Having a family history of cancer, and dealing with it myself, this book touched home.
I couldn't find anything wrong with this. Although I know some close minded individuals will read it and scoff, this book is amazing!!
