In this book you’ll read about the basic principles of magic-working in the Mundane World as I understand and practice them. Extended description

My experience has led me to believe that the imagination is an inbuilt magical technology we humans are programmed with from birth.
In this book you’ll read about the basic principles of magic in the Mundane World as I understand and practice them.
I include some of my own experiences with divination, meditation and the use of magical tools; such as Sigils. I’ll also share some approaches that have taken me a lifetime to develop and refine. I call these magical technologies Creative Trance and Dreamcraft. They are the basis for my workshops.

After more than thirty years of study and experimentation with these techniques I am convinced that magic is available to anyone who decides to take it up.

You’re probably practicing it right at this moment without even being aware of it...

I couldn't stop reading. Can you imagine an explorers guide to the universe? This is it. Not a guide to the best places to visit but a guide to creating your own journey and arriving at the unknown with a smile on your face. And a message of hope to all those who have ever been told "that just isn't possible"
If you are ready for a great adventure, this is the book for you!

I read this book in one sitting, which is most unusual for me and is testament to a genuinely fascinating text. 'What is Magic?' is a complex discussion of magic and consciousness and their intersections, weaving together strands of deeply divergent bodies of knowledge (history, anthropology, neuroscience, politics, psychoanalysis, ayurveda, archaeology, music, mythology...) to create a deeply countercultural but also deeply reader-affirming message. One of my favourite parts is Mor's assertion of 'the importance of seeing ourselves as creators'. As well as leaving this book understanding something of the author's unapologetically unique worldview, I feel I've left it understanding something more of my own.
