Good collection of stories. Though "Vanished Into Thin Air" is a little short, I found it a good break between the other two longer stories.

Each of these is that type of story that doesn't offer a true resolution and just leaves the reader wondering at the end what really happened. It definitely adds to mystery.

I'd have to agree with the previous reviewer that these stories are evocative of Japan, but not in the boring haiku-about-frogs sense.

I loved these stories - they took me right to the tea house, the mountain pool. The simple narrative style makes the moments of poetry really stand out.
