Short story about life after death. Not badly written, but it feels too bare to really draw you in. It's very short and has little plot development; the underlying idea is promising, so perhaps if the story were expanded it would have been better.

James Sophi has written an excellent short story. Each word flows after the previous one perfectly. The opening sentence not only grips, it entices you to read on.

A stunning debut. An interesting subject. James Sophi weaves his words well to take us into the mind of a dying man. A fascinating idea for a story, and a thought provoking ending.
I'm looking forward to reading more from this author.

A wonderful, wonderful short story. James easily captures us with crisp and stirring images, of a startling moment in time.
