I am hooked on JD Nixon's books. I wasn't sure if I'd like this series but I tried it because I liked the Littletown series. I read all three bing bang boom!! I can't wait for Heller's Decision!

I enjoyed this book. her writing is refreshing and different. There are parts that gave me a good laugh. I found the reading very relaxing and enjoyable. It is different from the Little Town books, but equally worth reading.

This is my newest favorite author. After reading the first book I immediately got back online and bought everything else she has written. I read them all, one right after the other, and loved every one of them. Can't wait for the author to write more. My only concern is that we're not being charged enough. This kind of quality should be worth more than $1.99.

Wish I could help remodel JD's house faster so she'd have no excuse but to sit down and finish more Tess and Tilly stories! My retirement has finally given me time to read something other than business papers, and this novel has been THE BEST of the dozen or so works that I have enjoyed. JD Nixon's writing style is virtually flawless and the plots and character development are realistic, thoughtful, and exciting. Some Aussie lexicon, but nothing that is difficult. Romantic and at times lusty, but never gross. This is truly a can't-put-it down, so set aside some time for a great read. All of the series are excellent - can't wait for "Heller's Decision" as I have thoroughly enjoyed all of the rest.

I hae just finished Heller's Punishment - the first one in the series that I have read, and I intend to read them all.
The scene with Tilly in the dinosaur's suit had me laughing out loud, and I was hooked. Not only is the book hugely entertaining, it is also well written. Ms Nixon knows her craft well!

This is a GREAT series along with the "Little Town" series! I highly recommend these books. They draw you into the story and you become involved with each character. I literally have laughed out loud reading these as well as cried for Tilly. Please keep them coming JD, these are great!

Sorry--skipped well deserved 5 star rating. Yes there are some similarities to Evanovich but much richer, deeper than the more recent "rinse, repeat" Evavoviches. Any of JD's worth cost of Evanovich.
I felt ripped off with last few. Tillie is marvel.

Intriguing characters, humor, omg scenes. Love this series and Blood
Ties too but Heller my favorite. JD Nixon's first 2 are free so go for it. Refreshing to see multifaceted character development with unexpected twists. Would have cheerfully paid for free books and double cost of the others. JD, keep writing girlfriend. There is no reason you can't earn living with you writing.

Just finished reading Heller and am disappointed. The personalities of the two central characters quickly change from one extreme to the other. It's like both of them are bipolar. Having read Blood Ties by the author I was prepared for over the top characters, but characters I could relate to. The situations the heroine is placed in, her actions and the results of those actions are not creditable and I lost interest before the book was finished.

What a pleasant surprise!! I really enjoyed the 'Heller' and the prospect of a sequel to come! I love that Tilly isn't at all stupid, has her own mind and stands up for it, and can kick ass without any formal training!  With the depth JD has given Tilly in just one book, I look forward to watching her character grow in future books.

I had to register just so I could give a big thumbs up to this book. It was thoroughly enjoyable with strong, engaging characters and a good storyline. A tad unbelievable, but it's fiction, right? I kept looking to see how many pages I had left because I didn't want it to end. Sadly, it did.
