About Nikita Black

While at heart stories of romance, Nikita Black's erotic fiction allows women readers to safely explore themes which go beyond broad shoulders and sweet kisses, into the dark world of forbidden fantasies.

Nikita's first erotic novella, THE RENEGADE'S WOMAN, was listed #1 in both Romance and New Releases on the E-book Bestseller List for five months following its debut in April '99. It was named the #7 overall Bestselling Ebook for 1999. CAJUN HOT, Nikita's first full-length erotic romance, was the winner of several awards, including a Dorothy Parker Award of Excellence, given by The Reviewers International Organization (RIO). Her third and most anticipated novel, SLAVE TO LOVE, was released in January 2007, and became a 2008 IPPY Award winner.

"Needless to say, I am absolutely thrilled about receiving these awards. Erotic Romance is a genre that is generally not recognized with such high honors. My objective in writing the Nikita Black books is to explore the depths of the erotic fantasies all women have, which have so long been denied us, or trivialized by this country's predominantly male literary critics and analysts. Nikita's raison d’être is to show women it's okay to fantasize. That it doesn't make you a pervert. Women are hungry to hear that their secret fantasies are nothing to be ashamed of, that it's perfectly normal to fantasize and that the most powerful ones are often very politically incorrect."

Under the name Nina Bruhns, Nikita is a bestselling romance author who writes award-winning novels for Berkley Publishing, as well as Silhouette Romantic Suspense and the occasional paranormal romance for Silhouette Nocturne. Her books have been named as the year's Best Series Book by Romance Reviews Today, and as the year's best Intimate Moments twice by Romantic Times BookClub, as well as the year's best Nocturne. My review from Goodreads listed below.

My thoughts on this book started with WOW and ended with “A riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma.” I hope that peaks your interest…

This was a GREAT story. I have it in e-book form but I’m going to look into getting the paper copy so I can display it on my KEEPER shelves. That’s how much I loved it. An autographed copy would be awesome !

I came across this author in her short story BINDING HER HEART in the Wedding Favors Anthology, and liked her style of writing. I decided then to look for other books by her and DAM I am glad I did.

There was no skimping on this book. I appreciated all 30 chapters. There are too many Erotica books that are more like short stories than full blown novels. They almost always feel rushed, not this book though.

All the other reviewers did a great job of describing this plot so I’m just going with my feeling on it instead.

I’ve read romance novels so I understand how they go…Happily Ever After….

I’ve read suspense/mystery so I understand the edge of your seat < nail biting> ‘who done its’.

I’ve read Erotica and through the incredibly descriptive hot sex in them.

I’ve also read BDSM books and through the ‘Bondage is the ultimate act of Trust’ scenes.

THANK YOU MS. BLACK, for this story and also for your explanation on the ‘riddled’ ending in your Amazon post Oct 9th, 2010. My mind wouldn’t stop going over it last night. I couldn’t wait to do some research to see if anyone else had the same issue and if it produced an answer. It did. The End.
