Extended description

Life for Hayden Carlson had never been overly exciting and that was the way she liked it, so when she meets Jasper on a trail in the woods, it never occurs to her that life as she knows it is about to change.
Suddenly, Hayden crosses over to a world she never would have dreamed existed and a future she never would have believed possible. Along the way, she discovers an affinity for magic; her ability to dream of the future and the craft of healing. She meets many beings that become her friends and family, as well as others who will try to capture her for her powers.
Hayden must find a way to escape being captured, save the man she loves, and decide where she stands in the balance of good and evil.

I'm sorry...I just can't agree with everyone on this series. I will say that the premiss is really good with tons of potential, but the writing style was horrendous. There were tons of awkward, run-on sentences, and repetitive phrases throughout the series. If I read "I took a deep breath" one more time, I'll scream! The vocabulary was very limited. The fight scenes were disappointing. There was tons of lead up to a battle, then the fight itself was only described in a paragraph or two. It seemed like this series was aimed at the pre-teen audience...except for the bedroom scenes, which I didn't feel added to the story. I really wish the author's writing maturity level was higher, as I think the series could have been so much better. I will give her other novellas a try...maybe they'll be better?

I downloaded this book from here. Was looking for a new author to read. Was a great read. Wasn't a 100% sure I would enjoy this when I loaded it onto my Nook. What a pleasant surprise! Once I got past the first chapter I could not put my Nook down.

I want to thank the author for making Book One free to download. I will be purchasing the next 2 books soon.

I have posted a recommendation on Facebook. I will also post to my Reading Blog, Goodreads and Twitter.

I waited to read this book. I am not sure why, but once I started I could not stop. The story moved quickly, mixed romance and fighting, and had wonderful characters. I can't say enough about this book. I purchased the other two as soon as I finished this book.

Loved the book. Described the characters of all the players - the cats, the dogs, the flying horses! Couldn't put it down. I got this book last fall with some others and hadn't gotten around to reading it - wished I'd started it sooner. Looking forward to seeing the whole world unfold.

I wasnt sure if this book would be my cup of tea or not.
But it would seem that my cup of tea has been doing a lot of changing just recently.

This is not your average romance, nor is it an ordinary fantasy novel.

The tale that the author has woven is a totally engrossing one.
Not only is it filled with an imaginative and colourful world but the characters are unique and intriguing.
A lot of effort has been put into the world building and back stories for Crossover.
The descriptions are rich, the characters are extremely likeable, and the relationships are believable.
The twists and turns are exciting and the sparks that fly in and out of the bedroom between Hayden and Jasper are a refreshingly real take on a relationship (God knows relationships are never perfect!!)

I have thoroughly enjoyed the first book of this series and am looking forward to reading the next installment.
An enticing 4 Star read ;]
