At the start of the story Chloe arrives back home to Scotland after her travels abroad. She is told she is to marry one of her father’s men – a significantly older, meaner man who she has no interest in what so ever. So that was a major downer, until sexy English Knight, Alexander is told by the King that he is to take over Chloe’s fathers land by whatever means necessary and once done – he will secure Chloe (unwillingly) as a wife.

Alexander agrees to obtain the land as his King requests but isn’t to fond of the idea of marriage. He likes his lifestyle and envisions a Scottish Hag instead of the ravishingly beautiful Chloe.

It isn’t until he is outside Chloe’s Castle that he see’s her beauty threw one of the windows. Immediately drawn to her he raises his sword and poclaims “You are mine” at the top of his lungs. Oh boy did my heart go a flutterin and the anticipation began.

I could just imagine looking out the castle window, drooling over a masculine knight on a horse, then eyes contact occurs and he yells “You are mine” – Why the hell would you run girl??? I would’ve gone all Rapunzel on his ass and thrown myself out the window....but then the story would’ve only been a few chapters long.

The story is filled with close encounters a lot of interesting twists and turns and a very sweet ending.

My only dislike would be that I wished they would’ve got it on a little earlier. By the time they did share their feelings I wasn’t as excited as I would have been earlier in the story. But you could tell a lot of detail went into the historical side of the story, it seemed very authentic and I felt as though I was transported back in time.
