Well now I am on the edge of my seat again. We last left Faith with Trent recovering from a butt kicking journey of her discovering her heritage of becoming a witch, being stalked by slayers, her mother revealing more than Faith wanted to know and an uncertain fate.

Now just when Faith and Trent think that they can start building their new relationship, a new man moves to town. Vincent -- a psychic vampire is obsessed with Faith and is likely to move in on Trent's territory.

Faith's connection with Zou Tai is tested when they find that the werewolf pack is being hunted and the were's are being killed. She is willing to do what she can to protect him and help his family from being slaughtered. Faith soon realizes that her powers will be tested when she is up against a powerful alchemist.

Friendships, bonds and futures are strained, bent and tested through this magnetically charged novel as Faith and her team go up against deadly forces, deceptive gods and love.

Elizabeth surprises me again and has me wanting more as I am yet again salivating over her latest creation!

After reading Vampyre Kisses (The Last Witch #1) I couldn't wait to read the second book in this series..This book did not disappoint at all. It is just as good, action packed and like the other book I was hooked. It got me staying up later than expected because this is one I could not put down and as soon as I was done I really couldn't wait to read the next book in this series. If you are into vampires, werewolves and witches this is a great series for you.

This is a BRILLIANT book! No kidding, is entertaining, funny, interesting and full of things I didn't know about, like alchemist stuff.
Yes, alchemist, that's right. So, if in "Vampyre Kisses" we had gods, a volucris (I want one too!), hunters, slayers, a guardian, vampires, werewolves and the last witch in this one we need to add a psychic vampire (there's only one each generation), an alchemist and a inquisitor. In conclusion: so much fun!
But yeah, let me explain a little bit of the book:

After the last battle in "Vampyre Kisses" Faith and Trent decide to move in together so they rent a new place outside New York. What they want? Peace and quiet. What they get? Crazy people everywhere.
There's a new vampire coming to town, a really special one that doesn't feed on blood but on energy. And he wants Faith's energy. But he wants her heart too (in a romantic way, don't get me wrong). His name is Vincent and for some reason he needs to be with Faith.
But he arrives in the middle of a crisis: werewolves are been kidnapped and nobody knows why. Zou Tai, the werewolf prince, goes to Morgan to ask for help and of course Faith gets involved too.

In this book we won't find a love triangle, we are going to find a square. Yep. Faith is just so special that Trent (her vampire boyfriend) is going to compite against Zou Tai (werewolf prince and a very hot guy) and Vincent (psychic vampire with an energy that makes Faith melt). Even Daeka, the werewolf god, likes her a little bit but in a playful way.
But you see, there's this alchemist that wants to ruin everything. I can't tell you what he wants because is one of the most interesting things in the book but I can encourage you to read both of them :D
The next book is coming out next year and believe me, I can't wait to see what happens next!

Faith and Trent are back and there are more obstacles than ever testing their love in the second installment of The Last Witch series. I fell in love with the characters in Vampyre Kisses and I enjoyed how Kolodziej put a different spin on vampires. I was really looking forward to reading Werewolf Descent and it didn't disappoint. I was drawn in from the very first page and read the book in almost one sitting. Kolodziej has some tricks up her sleeve in this one, and she kept me guessing all the way through. Continuing with her trend of putting new spins on the world of vampires and werewolves, Kolodziej introduces us to a psychic vampire and an alchemist. The new characters keep the story fresh and engaging while of course causing more conflict for Faith and her vampire boyfriend, Trent.

I have to admit I'm not a huge fan of werewolves, but I was drawn into the story of the werewolf murders and especially the history behind it, which becomes key to the story line. I found myself cheering on the creatures that I usually dislike in other books. But while the werewolf prince becomes a key player in this story, he also creates some trouble for Faith. In fact, Faith becomes the object of desire of many of the characters in this book, showing how truly one-of-a-kind she is.

One caution I do have to make is that this book gets steamy. Faith and Trent's relationship is in full-swing and we see it all. I would hesitate to recommend it to younger readers who like to read up, but for the intended audience, it's full of romance and passion.

Another great thing about this book is that even though it is the second in the series, it stands on its own. This book is a winner. I think Kolodziej topped herself this time.

I'm giving it 4.5 stars!
