Lutus is a hunter and leader, slowly watching his people die. Shah-een is a plant gatherer, hoping to reseed her dying world. Each offers the other a solution to their problems, but others' self-interest might destroy everyone.
The Catch is a short story that packs a lot of punch. With the talent of a master, Ms Lee crams a lot of world building in a small space. Both Lutus and Shah-een are caring sentients that are fighting to save their families. But they're not using weapons, they're using compassion and cooperation--a truly unique twist indeed.
If you're looking for a quick break, I'd recommend The Catch!

After reading a bunch of dark paranormalsl and urban fantasies in a row, I was in the mood for something to cleanse the palate. Boy, did I find it with this cool sci-fi romance short story! Romance in the steamy jungle, cool special effects, family betrayal … what more could you want in a short novella? It definitely hit the spot. I’m off to grab the other short stories in this series.

If "The Catch" is anything like Georgina's future stories, I look forward to reading them. This short story is easy to read on the go or if you some spare time between activities. In the face of danger their love for each other overpowers the struggles they potentially face. I see myself in Lotus in many ways and I think that is what made this story such an engaging one to read. Another great book to add to my collection! Thank you.
