"Lies in Chance" is a multi character suspense novel with a dash of romance.
Shara Brandt doesn’t know how she wound up on a creek bank behind a school in rural Rock Harbor, Wisconsin. She has no idea how she got to the tiny town, almost three hours north of her home in Metro Milwaukee. She has no idea who murdered her grandmother, Lydia Brandt. What she does know is she has one chance to learn the truth about Lydia’s murder, to clear her own name, and to be safe from a past that haunts her. That chance is to live a borrowed life under the alias “Bethany Elias.”
Molly Hunter knows exactly who Shara is from the moment she pulls Shara out of the creek. Molly also has a very good idea of what really happened the night Lydia Brandt was murdered. But Molly made a promise to Shara a decade ago and will do everything she must, which includes lying to her best friends, to keep that promise.
Drew Shepaski desperately wants to protect the health of his wife, Joanna, and their unborn child. To do so, he’s willing to do anything, including lying to his wife.
Emotionally destroyed after his divorce, Bryan Jacobs trust few people. He certainly doesn’t trust the newcomer, Bethany Elias. He is convinced she could be the missing heiress wanted for the murder of Lydia Brandt. He wants nothing more than to expose Bethany he believes she’s living mostly because he doesn’t trust the faint stirring of something deep in his soul each time he sees her.
It is the search for peace and truth that will bond them all together, or shatter them apart, but only if they are willing to take a chance.
