I loved reading this novel. Its filled with believable character build up. I love how Oliver persisted and finally made the ice princess melt and believe in love again. Stella brought two real characters with a past together. They learnt about the other's past ,accepted each other and agreed to keep loving each other. Thumbs up.

I thoroughly enjoyed this novel. I was unable to put it down as i could not wait to read the unfolding events. It made my heart flutter on several occasions as i went through the emotions with the characters. I highly recommend it but a word of caution though, if you have deadlines to meet, you might want to suspend reading this until you have sorted your targets. Thank you for an exciting 24hours (read the novel within a day).

The Gardener's Ice Maiden has just the right cocktail of intrigue, suspense, conflict and romance. The story line, plot and conflict are realistic and well executed. The characters are real and believable and they stay with you long after you put the book down.

Oliver actually jumps off the pages and I could almost see him in my living room as I read. He is a man who knows what he wants and isn't afraid to go after it, in spite of the odds stacked against him including race and social status. His gentle yet insistent wooing cracks at Olivia's icy heart until he breaks down her resistance and makes her believe in love again.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and recommend it highly.

Review by: Infinity Dreamt on July 12, 2011 :
The Gardener's Ice Maiden is a pleasant and emotionally filling romance. Yet it is steamy enough to leave you wanting more on reaching its end.

I am always skeptical when reading romance as it takes only a minor falseness in character to upset me. Much to my delight, Oliver and his Ice Maiden, Olivia, sparkle together. Oliver is like a noble knight in who isn't afraid to get his hands dirty to fight to win and keep the woman he loves. But Olivia has built up an ice-cold wall from past experiences and it's not going to be an easy one to get past to get to her heart.

Fortunately Oliver is a gardener with a few tricks up his sleeve and a lot of wit that will serve him well, as racial differences and society status will give him a harsh glare at his efforts. When Oliver connects with her son, he also finds the key that might thaw her out yet. But it will be his past that is pitted against the man he genuinely is and escaping that will be anything but easy.

If you're into romance, you will like the depth of characters and the unexpected twists and turns to be found in here.
