Karen Brown’s purpose in writing this simple, direct, and short ebook is to save persons interested in selling online a lot of grief. It would have answered many questions for me had it been available earlier.
She recommends a definite goal and use of her Buy Right formula and clearly makes money working her plan. Amazon over ebay is her preference but need not be yours. Her product won’t be yours either, though she explains how to use Amazon ranking information (free) to guide product selection.
Also an online seller, I have a few comments: Timing is everything. Very early October is time to list all things Halloween. The beginning of Lent is the time for little girl dresses and little boy suits. She doesn’t like storing items. I don’t mind and buy off-season, preferably at 90% off. I’ve also learned that amazon is brutal should a seller make a mistake or a buyer complain. Even if the buyer is wrong, the matter will resolve in the buyer’s favor. If the post office loses the item, tough cookies. Know this and factor it in your formula. Yes, you can insure items, but this is pricey, and the recovery process takes forever. Issue a refund and forget it.
One great notion is her direct admission of mistakes. You will make them. She likes the idea of failing forward, which means to learn well from errors. Read and pay attention. There is good information here.
