11 Pearls is a tale of personal transformation. A man walking in the country finds an old book in a deserted house and is immediately spellbound by the story within. The book contains the story of Caleb, a destitute wretch who undergoes an extraordinary transformation after meeting a mysterious traveler at a country inn.

The story is set many years ago. Caleb finds himself the unlikely employee of a strict innkeeper. He befriends a guest who is kind, understanding and very wise. The man passes on wisdom that he has acquired as a youth under similar circumstances. Caleb's transformation takes place over the course of about a year and is nothing short of miraculous.

The two men meet and talk when time allows. During these talks the stranger discusses one or more of life’s important principles. These principles are the 11 pearls. The storyteller is masterful in relaying the awakening as Caleb has the opportunity to assimilate the message of the “pearls” as circumstances in his life coincidently serve to enhance each of the principles in real time. It’s almost impossible to not relate to the plight of this man as he experiences his awakening.

There are certainly tearful moments throughout as Caleb undergoes his metamorphosis and expresses his oft tearful gratitude. This is a story that will stay with the reader, forever reminding him that life can be lived to the fullest regardless of past circumstances.
