I really enjoyed this book (in fact the whole series). I quickly became attached to the characters and the town of Keeneston. My husband thought the ending was genius, as I scrambled to get the 2nd and 3rd book. I will agree I felt jipped on the sex scenes (or lack thereof) but the storyline and characters made up for it.

Solid story, although a bit saccharine at times. I had several moments of eye rolling at certain parts of the dialogue. I agree with hrhsophia's review about the lack of sex scenes - maybe its just me and my dirty mind, but I felt like the story would've been better with some spice added! Great description and development of the characters of the charming town of Keeneston. Word of warning - the story ends in a way that you have to buy the 2nd and 3rd books in the series to find out what happens!

The author seems to be able to describe sexual acts or rather foreplay but does not actually describe any sex. I do not have to read only graphically detailed sex scenes but skipping to the next morning after hot and heavy foreplay is unnecessarily PG to me. Still a good story with lots of humor and action, well some action!

Although I loved the story and characters, I nearly stopped reading because of the poor punctuation,sentence structure and editing. Again, I did thoroughly enjoy the story and that is what kept me reading.

If you are wavering because you like free books but aren't sure if you want to commit to a series that you have to pay for don't worry, THIS SERIES IS WORTH IT.
"Bluegrass State of Mind" definitely gets you hooked, so be sure to have "Risky Shot" and "Dead Heat" ready and waiting to go. I couldn't put the book down and the following 2 are worth every penny.

I absolutely LOVED this!!! I purchased book 2 and 3 within 5 minutes of finishing this one, I guarantee once you read it you will do the same!! Great story line, no "fillers" just to add length to it. Such strong female characters, and even stronger male ones :) I will be the first to read any future books by this author!!

Great book....well written. I am hoping the next book is about Dani and Mo or Paige and Cole. Fingers crossed! I just bought the book this morning and already finished it...I couldn't put it down.
