I am a huge fan of strong, witty heroines, and this novel did not disappoint - Morgan Bailey is the new bad-ass on the paranormal romance scene. The book is reminiscent of Buffy but with the literary talent of the scores of paranormal writers out there like Kim Harrison or Jeaniene Frost. It is a novel that keeps the reader laughing and guessing - plus, a couple of cool twists you just DON'T see coming. I highly recommend it and I'm looking forward to reading the next. This series has the potential to be the Next Great!

I really love this series. I think the fact that it's through Morgan telling her story gives it a whole better slant and damn funny to. Keep up the great work.

Where's the sequel? I know there is one but I want it now! Seriously, the vampire genre is tired but Ms. MacLeod knows just what to do to bring it back to life. This book starts good and ends with "What the hell?"... I had no idea where I was going but all I do know is that I'm willing to follow Morgan, Jack, Inigo and Kabita where ever they plan to take me. I heard the next one takes place in London so I am seriously looking forward to this beauty kicking serious vampire butt across the pond... I absolutely cannot wait!

HOLY BUCKETS this book was smokin'! I am absolutely in LOVE with Jack and Inigo, two incredibly HOT, sensual males in this novel, and was rooting for both of them throughout this whole story. Morgan is a totally kick ass vampire slayer! She totally rocked! I am soooo looking forward to all of the books in this series. The writing was superb - clean gramatically and the pace moved so fast, I almost forgot this was a full-length novel. I absolutely loved the author's sense of humor, despite the dark and tense moments when Morgan was busy dusting vamps and other ghouls. Rock on, Sunwalker Saga! More, more, more!!!

Loved every moment of reading Kissed by Darkness. Some mystery, action, a woman who needs no rescue, hot men, more mystery. Thank you Shea Macleod!

Kissed by Darkness is a great read, lots of twists and turns to the plot, yet there is a strong plot line. The writer's style reminds me of the Mike Hammer stories I used to read over and over, fast paced, lots of action, and an all too human heroine. I can hardly wait for the next in the series. Two thumbs up.
