Tim, Ludus, and Clare, after being confronted by a wizard, must travel around the world, looking for good books in hope of finding the ellusive white bearded man and preventing their own deaths. "The Book" is a story that brings the reader around the world from the U.S.A, to China, Europe and back through mystery, suspence, romance and fiction. Action, earthquakes, blizzards, errupting volcanoes are met and passed. Chased always by a strange man in a trench-coat, the three try to reveal the mystery of their adventure: what is the good book and why does the bearded man want them dead?
Spoons is a city in the middle of the United States of America. If you do not know where the United States of America is find a map and look to the left (you will smell something like cooking oil and potatoes). "The Book" might be the worst book ever written; judging by the events and actions, it very well may be. But as the speaker says in the first chapter, "The Book" asks nothing more of the reader than other stories do. You won't have to think or confuse your self with complicated ideas. In fact, it is a story of love being made, purpose being found, adventure and conflict. It is like every other story. Comedy, Satire, Fiction, Garbage, the reader can decide.
