It's said I was launched into space from birth and I haven't been back to Earth since.
There might be some truth in that.
As a reader I love science fiction with great plots, interesting characters, exotic locales, all accompanied by a sense of wonder with optimistic endings. As a writer, I love the same.

The String Weavers is a delightful, fun book about a teen girl who begins the book worrying about college and ends worrying about saving the universe! Kelsey is a delightful character, and the secondary characters are all interesting. (Although I did occasionally have to look back to make certain I had the proper alien in mind.)
The story unfolds in a series of revelations and adventures which take Kelsey farther from earth and into dangers she doesn't truly understand.
This young adult tale of a girl thrown into a myriad of troubles and searching for her own true identity reminds me of the Andre Norton books I adored, complete with odd aliens and all!
Excellent work. I look forward to reading the next book.

WHERE IS PART 2? I WANT MORE.
Again, J.A. Marlow managed to draw me into a universe that twists and turns but never loses sight of the self imposed universal laws. Combined with great characters (including a headstrong girl and an adversary with a purpose), a riveting plot, well thought out worlds (and physics) this story makes for an excellent read. I can hardly wait for the sequel.

This is an amazing adventure right from the get-go. The String-Weavers follows Kelsey, a young girl who has spent most of her life on earth and follows her in a whirl-wind adventure throughout the galaxy. Well worth the read, especially when she stands up for everything she believes in and gains the confidence that she needs to save the world! 5/5
