Devlin was born to a pair of Wild West rodeo show performers who later became regulars with a traveling circus. It made for an interesting time growing up. Was performing on stage at three having bits of paper the size of a cigarette snapped from her fingers by her mother's sixteen foot bullwhip.
Since someone decided it would be useful for her to know how to read and write, she ended up at Catholic boarding school. It was an equitable trade-the nuns gave her literacy and she gave them heartburn.
During the summer months she traveled with the circus and was lucky enough to count very special people as her friends, including Gorilla Girl, Caterpillar Man, Alligator Boy and many more denizens from the sawdust covered carnival midway.

It's a short story that has a point, but I'm not really sure it's a romantic point. The formatting is a bit odd, with some paragraphs that were BOLD, and others which were normal.
The characters are mysterious - mostly because they're met very quickly and then the story is over.
Could definitely use some fine-tuning and a good proof reading before being published. Otherwise, the word that best describes the story for me is "cute." It was very cute.
