Description

"When you are asleep you don't know what goes on with those who are awake." When he said that I started to realize this guy wasn't just a retired businessman living by a country club. We were very different men, unlikely to meet. He'd been a CEO and I'd been a street person and yet we became friends. This is the story of that friendship, of a spiritual teaching and of opening a man's heart.

I TOOK THE BUDDHA SHOPPING is a wonderful story that touched me in a very deep way. A story of a man's search for enlightenment that will inform the reader in a way few writers can master. While I admit that I consider Bill a very good friend, I have not pressed him for the details of the creation of this wonderful work. I suspect it is mostly, if not totally, autobiographical. Regardless of the details it is, for me, a trans formative work. He has put into words many of the things I have felt but did not have the ablity to express. I loved it and will re-visit often.
