His first published work was a short story, Frontier Justice, which won the genre fiction category of the 2009 Writers Digest 78th Annual Writing Contest.
He and his wife, Patty, live on fifteen acres in Gavilan Hills, California, with six horses and two dogs. Their twin sons and their families love to visit "The Ranch".
