About Andrew Oberg

I am a Lecturer in English and researcher in Applied Philosophy at Toyo University in central Tokyo, Japan. All of my books can be previewed here or at Drugstore Books (http://drugstorebooks.com/?page_id=5), and my academic works in philosophy and applied linguistics can be found at my personal website (http://andrewoberg.blogspot.jp/).

I currently live with my wife and daughter in Tokyo, but we are all quite nomadic and this is subject to change. I'm a native of the state of Minnesota, USA, while my wife hails from Kochi prefecture on the island of Shikoku. The very different climates that produced us have made for some interesting discussions regarding what temperature to set the air conditioner at. We've recently compromised on 27C in summer and 22C in winter.
