This is a touching supernatural mystery which deals delicately with issues of family, love, loss and the need to let go of our loved ones when the time comes.
This is not my usual reading genre so was not sure how much I would like it. Needn't have worried. It was a captivating and at times thoroughly disturbing ghost story. Expertly written and edited, the pages almost turned themselves, the reading was so fluent. I blame R.C. Drake for keeping me up far too late past my bedtime. But I just had to finish this tale. A very quick read and highly satisfying story. Great characters and dialogue. Not too gruesome but it will keep you up at night.
The ending has a nice twist too.

Neat and engaging supernatural story with a lot of punch in its unexpected end-of-story twist. You may start digging into it without many expectations, but you'll discover quite a few nice surprises as you read along. I'm not articularly fond of the ghost genre, mind you, but I certainly liked this book. Give it a try.

When Susan, a young mother, loses her husband, she flees with her daughter Caroline to another town to escape the memories. But she soon discovers she did not escape everything. Her eccentric next-door neighbor manages to reveal the truth and help Susan save her daughter before it’s too late.
“Crystal Clear” by R. C. Drake is a moving, tender story. It is a testament to a mother’s love and the strength that love has over evil.
I got to read the newly-edited version, and was very pleased with the writing and editing. It’s a wonderful story.
