“The Mothman Isn’t Real” is just short of 6000 words, but it packs plenty of action and character into the short form. I found myself a little bummed at the end. The story does have an ending, but I still want to see it continue. (Take the hint, Thacker!)
Darryl and Sam are long-time friends out fishing when they have a bizarre and frightening encounter with…something. The writing is solid and the tension was real – I found myself reading faster as the duo tries to flee, hoping they can escape and wondering what they will do if they get out of danger.
I recommend you spend a buck and enjoy the ride. “The Mothman” is another solid story by the Thack-man. Keep ‘em coming.
