Short description

I died at the age of twenty four. It was May my favorite month. Flowers were blooming and the desert sky was covered in dusty storms. This story chronicles my near death experience after flat-lining twice after three surgeries for a ruptured appendix. Surreal events that occurred. The gift that I was given for several years after that both haunted and empowered.

Extended description

I died at the age of twenty-four. It was May, my favorite month. Flowers were blooming and the desert sky was covered in dusty storms. Naked on the operating table and cut open across my entire abdominal cavity I was leaving this world similarly to how I entered it.Life's moments move too fast sometimes to realize the occurrences we take for granted.
The Ascent chronicles my near-death experience after thirty two days in an ICU unit clinging to life. The people and places that astounded and a gift given which forever changed my perceptions. A trip to what is beyond our comprehension on Earth. This book is dedicated to the young travelers Mark, Megan, Eddie, Annie, Samuel and many others who indefinitely left imprints on my heart.

The last paragraph of this book really sums it all up. Tracy does an amazing job at creating a word picture of her spiritual experience and makes you want to have been there with her. She is an angel God put back down on earth to affect the people around her!

A compelling recounting of the author's personal experiences before, during and after a near-death experience.

I received a free review copy of this book.
I was intrigued by the premise and enjoyed the story whether or not it's supposed to be true.
However, it badly needed editing. The writing would have been so much more interesting and readable, had it not been written in the active vs passive tense.
