The Lead Characters:
Cassidy Strong is a free-spirited romance novelist. She speaks her mind and keeps her cool, even in the face of harsh criticism.
Alan Drake is a conservative businessman driven to succeed and he doesn’t like obstinate women. However, he can’t keep from falling for Cassidy.
The Hook:
Their personality conflict drives the story when Drake must spy on Cassidy for his beloved mentor. Drake’s problems become dire when he begins to suspect his mentor is behind the deaths of two young women. Worse still, Cassidy intends to uncover the plot behind those suspicious deaths.
