About Lacey Weatherford

Lacey Weatherford was born in Ft. Meade Maryland while her father was serving in the military. She has been a life long resident of Arizona, spending most of her time growing up in the small rural town of Clay Springs.

It was while she was attending the small country school in Clay Springs, that she read her first "big" book at the age of eight. It was a Nancy Drew novel and Lacey was instantly hooked. She read every book that she could find in the series and decided that she wanted to write stories too.

Lacey spent a lot of time at the library from that time forward, even volunteering in her later teen years and early twenties. She would don a crazy clown outfit for the Friends of the Library fundraisers in an effort to help get the new town library built.

When she and her husband moved away from the area, Lacey took the opportunity to take some creative writing classes at the local college to help further along her interests. Several years later, they were blessed with the opportunity to move back to Clay Springs with their family. The town had finally succeeded in building their library and Lacey had the opportunity to be President of the Friends of the Library for a very short time, before relocating.

Lacey and her family still live in the White Mountains of Arizona, where she continues to write young adult novels that have a fantasy/fairytale or paranormal bent to them, as well as being sure to include a great romantic storyline

Once again Lacey Weatherford doesn't disappoint, in this installment of Portia and Vance's story the twists and turns just keep coming. You are kept on the edge of your seat, second guessing yourself and the characters in the story. Chocked full of love, mystery, witches, warlocks and demons Dark Rising is a page turner you won't want to put down.
Portia's love and faith in Vance is something everyone wants in a relationship and her hope keeps you cheering for them to overcome and find each other again. The ending will make your head spin, I know it did mine. My jaw dropped and I literally yelled out NO! But I am not telling you why, for that you have to read it.

I loved the new character that Lacey introduces in Hex a half jihni that helps Portia grow and learn about herself and her capabilities. Plus a new Bad Girl by the name of Mayla who I wanted to strangle from the moment she was introduced. I love how Lacey weaves these characters into the story and pulls you in as well. She leaves you wanting more and more and I can't wait to see what happens next.

Oh my stars! Every time I think Lacey Weatherford cannot possibly top her previous cliffhangers, she proves me wrong by doing it again! At the end of the last book,we found out that thankfully Vance is not dead after all,but he comes back from the grave with no memory of his past life.He doesn't know his wife, his own name,or even that he is a warlock. Will he be able to control his blood lust and keep himself from killing Portia? Or will she become a victim? And will the old Vance ever surface or is he destined to be a Demon forever? Every time you think he and Portia can compromise, another crisis emerges. And wait until you get to the last page. What an exquisite form of torture, leaving us readers squirming until the next installment is released next February! I swear this author is a sick, twisted individual. I LOVE HER!!
