Morgana Swift is a researcher of the occult... but also much more. When called for an expedition in the Scottish Highlands, she expected a study in ancient lore, but when a young (and clearly undead) girl crosses the street in front of her car, she begins to realize she's into something much darker than that...

About Morgana Swift

Witness 1

It was raining the night I met Morgana... Swift. I wasn't expecting such an event. The wife of the guy organizing the "games" was buzzing around me and I was expecting only that. I was risking. He was the spineless son of an East End Boss with too much of a spine. She was a decent slut, but you know how these things are. The more it stinks of kerosene, the more adrenaline. But that night, the only thing I noticed was Morgana. Dark hair, straight like long waves. Almost transparent eyes. The skin of an elegant corpse. She was with a well dressed chap, a guy from High End. Maybe a photographer, judging from the camera on the table. The place was hot and filled with smoke. Across the mist we exchanged glances for a while. We stared at each other like weasels contending for a chicken. The son of the Boss seemed jealous of this but it wasn't Morgana's fault, and this is another story. In any case, she didn't speak much until during our usual game we ended up on the topic of priests. I remember perfectly well her comment on one of those damned, blessed by evil on earth... "May he burn along with his God" she said...

Only then I realized the mess I had thrown myself into...

Witness 2

I told you, I don't know anything else. She was still, under the rain; I saw that man trying to attack her and then suddenly he brought his hands to his face screaming. He was raving ridiculous stuff, shadows, blue monsters and similar junk. The roads at night have become dangerous. There are weird people around...

Witness 3

Yes, I hired her. Her fame as a professional in historical researches is known throughout the UK. Of black magic and occult I don't know much nor do I care. I asked Miss Swift to find and evaluate something for me in Scotland, that's all. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have things to do...

If you're looking for a fun mystery/horror story with interesting plot twists, give this try; character evolution and development really give an edge to it.
Maybe the formatting standards don't exactly do the illustrations justice, but they are a nice idea and you can see they're professional.

A thrilling nu-gothic novel: a skillful blending of action, romance and mystery to devour with true delight from the beginning to the last page. This first chapter of Morgana's chronicles - embellished by Comerci's graphic art - forces to ask definitely for more.

An excellent read! The author has combined the paranormal with a bit of medieval history to create a suspenseful tale. I found myself cheering for the mousy librarian and her team of investigators. Recommended.
