A great book where the we can get to see the pov of other characters instead of just the main characters themselves. However, I prefer more of Merrick and Sherry pov and there is not much actions in terms of using their powers.

I like how they manage to find love despite their current situation and adopted a wonderful child, Lily.

In this book Merrick and Sherry are married and very happy. They adopted a beeautiful girl named Lily and they are wonderful parents ,loving and spoiled her.Lily is so sweet innocent and loving child.Everybody loves her and protect her.
Cain is new character and I love him because he is funny sarcastic friendly and full of life.He has a good relationship with Sherry and Merrick.Merrick and he is the best friends and they had fun together and help each other. They are a good team when they fights against Lighters.
He fall in love with Lilian and is so sweet and loving with her and playful with her.He always made her laugh. He is protective with her and always is there for her when she needs him.
He is a great character.

Uprising starts right where Collide finished. It kept the pace of the book and the fluid writing style. We are immediately introduced to more new characters - these novels have an insane amount of characters. I finished Collide, immediately started Uprising and had already forgotten or got confused with some of the names. You never know if the characters are on the bad side, the good side or just plain nuts. But even though there are a lot of them, in this book I got a better glimpse of some of them, what was going on in their minds and such.

Uprising did not fail to deliver in action and romance! No character came out without a scratch! lol, I probably sound a bit crazy for saying that, but it's really great to seem them all struggling in their own battles and that they have obstacles, instead of everything working out magically for them. And another Ouch for Sherry, she always seems to got through the worse. Another great aspect was the turn the story took with Sherry and Merrick (in a good way) taking on roles they would have never expected, as well as the little bumps they faced.

It was a great novel! Really like Cain, Lilly and Miguel :) Cannot wait to start Catalyst!

Uprising continues with Shelly and Merrick's love story that began in the apocolypic Collide. The chemistry is explosive and draws the reader into the relationships that build among the rebels. This book opens as the resistance has built an expanding underground bunker under a convenience store. It is the perfect hideout outside of town and provides much needed shelter for the group. Throughout the book, the group continues to grow in numbers as they seek out other Keepers and Specials who need shelter. Sherry has taken a caregiver role by cooking and mothering the group. Merrick and Jeff are looked to as the leaders and protectors of the ragtag family.

Relationships are what really make this book shine. Sherry and Merrick continue their wonderful love affair and are the glue that binds the group together. Lines between Specials, Keepers, Lighters, Enforcers, and Regular People blend and flow naturally as wonderful new relationships blossom and grow. This book will make the reader question the definitions that we put on people in our lives and how that affects your relationships. The labels for people in our lives are nothing compared to love. There are many suspenseful scene of action, resistance fighting and rescue also that round out this story. Again, Ms. Crane delivers a great tale of love and relationships set in a world of paranormal creatures from another place.
