Pebbleton-On-Edge

Rated 5.00/5 based on 10 reviews
In a quiet English seaside village Sue and her colleagues at the Parish Council think life is fun but boring, until they are shocked out of complacency when murder is discovered literally under their noses. The arrival of police and reporters alarms the unlikely new Parish Clerk, who has good reason to seek obscurity. Worse is to come, as a 200-year-old crime produces modern consequences. More

About D A Gregory

Born at an early age, discovered chocolate - enjoying life! Fiction, in my view, should not have to stick to one genre - life is full of drama, mysteries to be solved, romance and fun, so a story can have all that too. Literary heroine: Agatha Christie. Many more Pebbleton books in the pipeline, the village is the star.

A thoroughly delightful mystery in that unique British tradition. A great cast of characters. I hope D.A. Gregory has another in the works soon.

Enjoyable visit to English village with fun and funny people - I think I know some of them! Having dealt many years with the public myself, Ms. Gregory perfectly portrayed how it is often challenging and hysterical to decipher what they mean from what they say! Well-crafted story! Wonderful characters, sweetly pictured places and scenery. Looking forward to Pebbleton At Sea!! MUST we wait SO long?!!

An Excellent Read.
The authors descriptions are so vivid that I was immediately transported to the seaside village; and with a few words characters are skilfully drawn and imaginably real.
A testament to the book is that I found myself thinking about the characters between periods of reading and thinking what might happen next.

Brilliantly well written

Brilliantly well written

I could all too easily fit the characters onto people that I work with, especially with regards to James and Fiona. I will now be spending (work's) time wondering what secrets they are hiding.

A murder mystery with a twist!
