I grew up in Poteau, OK and now live in Tulsa. My diverse work history includes retail, coal mining, telecom, TV, newspaper and recycling before becoming an author. I married my high school sweetie Becky and have two sons, two daughters, five granddaughters and two grandsons. Becky died in November, 2008 after we spent 36 beautiful years together. In 2009 I wrote and published The Indian Rock Vampire, a very different Vampire novel based on the symbols on the Heavener Runestone in southeastern Oklahoma. In 2009 I published a followup novel called Upside Down Heart. In 2011 I released the futuristic thriller ONE DRUG and in 2012 I released Payne County Weekly, a historical fiction novel. My latest release Dragline came out in 2013.

I really enjoyed this novel. I kept thinking "Wow, this could happen. This could be happening soon." I am from the area where the story is set and I could very easily picture the scenes as they were described even though they were in a slightly different time period in the future. The plot gets pretty intense, but not too difficult. I had trouble putting it down and getting back to work until I'd finished it.
