Review by: Nicole Chardenet on Feb. 25, 2012 :
Holland & Jaime is a coming-of-age story for a number of characters; told as a series of vignettes about various people in the lives of the title characters, who meet in college and come to grips with the fact that they're both gay.

Van Den Heuvel's writing practically gleams from the polishing (I very much appreciate "polished" writing; you don't see it much in books today, whether they're at the bookstore or on Smashwords) and her character histories were imaginative, believable, and sounded like actual individuals; not just characters in a story but almost like real people.

I eagerly await her next offering!
