About Colin Schmidt

Colin founded America SCORES Bay Area in 2001 and has served as Executive Director since its inception. Colin has more than 17 years of experience in non-profit leadership, fundraising, and management. Colin’s passion is to create more enrichment opportunities for all children regardless of family income or background. He is committed to addressing the preventable problems of illiteracy, poor health, and civic apathy. Colin has a strong track record growing mission-driven organizations that leverage collaboration and build community. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Claremont McKenna College and served as Student Body President. He holds a Masters in Business Administration from UC Berkeley. He is an author of several books on coaching and holds the “Premier National Coaching Diploma” from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. Prior to America SCORES, Colin served as the Director of Coaching for Table Mountain Soccer Association.
