I traveled to rural Colorado while sitting at my kitchen table in Tennessee. Anger, regrets and middle aged wisdom descended from the pages of this story to my mind. The weak point is the moment of transition from "he was a mean drunk" to "he never drank". Enlightenment is hard to show in words, but that is what makes a gifted storyteller. Overall, I was sorry when I was finished.
