I don’t usually like poetry but the title of this selection “Poetry as Told by Robots” intrigued me.
It makes me think—Poetry? Robots and Poetry? Really?
I don’t pretend to understand all the selections but I do identify with many of them. For example
“Your Type” I am positive is describing me- -“mysterious, eloquent, intelligent, witty” See what I mean?
Another selection “Introductions” starts out strong, slows down, then grabs me again-“Jeepneys”?
Hell, yes, I know what you are saying I have been in a “Jeepney in the Phillippines”.
Then you must read “Know What I Mean?”. I do know what you mean. Read it twice if you don’t.
Ditrie Sanchez is a gifted poet in my opinion. This collection changed my opinion about poetry.
She has opened my mind to understanding new and different writings. I enjoyed reading these poems very much.
I also enjoyed the drawings of the robots. I wonder if they are self portraits? Try it you will like it!
