The names of the people involved have been changed to protect the innocent from being re-victimized by the guilty. The names of the cities and states have been fictionalized to prevent any embarrassment to the states involved and to prevent inadvertently giving abusers a tip on where they can get away with hurting their wives and children.

This is a story about real people seeking help for a real victim of child abuse. I hope telling the story helps us go from where we are right now to the point where the child is home safe where he belongs, and the profoundly abusive person can no longer turn our lives upside down by lying to a social worker, a GAL or anyone else.
