Very nice. My mom grew up in Opp AL and my dad’s folks in the Baker area, which might as well be call Alabama. This story gave me a flood of happy memories of a simple but fulfilling part of my early years. Can’t wait to read more of your work.

Very poignant! I could clearly picture all of the old familiar places in my mind. This is the ultimate family reunion- the one you hate to go to, yet are left with all the loving memories of a lifetime!

Bittersweet tale. I enjoyed. This could be about any family, even mine. Well done!
