Howard Feigenbaum published his first poem in the school newspaper when he was in fifth grade.
Poetry is like music. There is rhythm, sound, and feeling expressed in verse. The poet, like any artist, reveals to the world an idea or an image designed to transport the mind. In the process, a part of the poet is revealed as well.
The book's title poem, I Wish I Were A Soul Train Dancer, won "Best of Show", Poetry Category, in the 2008 Diamond Valley Festival of the Arts, Riverside County, California.
His children's book, We're All Nuts! is a story about a peanut, named Goober, who learns he is not a nut at all, but a legume. The story's theme of self-acceptance and self-worth has made it a popular choice with teachers, counselors and parents.
Two volumes of Howard's detective-travel-romance series, Benny Goldfarb, Private "I" and Home Stretch, are currently available. A third volume, Hot Zone, is forthcoming. The plots include settings in South and Central America.
