In “The Disillusionist,” set many years ago, a failed magician visits various towns and wreaks havoc at each stop, until our hero confronts him, ears stuffed with wax and the truth at his side.

“Painting Haiti” tells of a Haitian taxi driver living in Raleigh who can't outrun the demons of her homeland as well as her past.

In “Never, Incorporated,” a nasty little fellow has a calling card he's like to leave for you.

And finally, in “A Tale of Two Shits,” you get to visit a men's room at a rest stop next to the highway. You know you've always wanted to go there..
