Review by: Caleb Barrett on Oct. 14, 2011 :
Depth, detail, and development of characters and settings gave Mortal Foe a life-like feel I greatly enjoyed. I also really liked the way Roppelt built the suspense steadily, not giving away too much too soon; it keeps you in constant anticipation and suspense the last 2/3 of the book. It starts slow and normal, but that enhances the characters development and the horrors they face as the story takes shape. It is unique in that it is deeper than other "horror/thrillers" I've read and has better, more developed characters.
