Deadly Wands

This action-packed epic fantasy tells the remarkable adventures of an orphan boy with incredible powers who grows up in the Dark Ages during a brutal world war fought with non-magical wands that shoot fireballs and enable flight, resulting in massive air battles. Mature content makes it unsuitable for little kids. It's more Game of Thrones than Harry Potter.

What I'm wondering is if there is gonna be another book after this. It ended rather abruptly and another book could satisfy readers with a better ending.

Am highly disappointed that anyone would rate this book at all! As a book lover it's an insult to serious writers for this author to even publish his book for free on smashwords , please take it off your list , insinuating that an 8yrs old is on high! What a pervert.
this is not fantasy it's sheer stupidity and I'll pre fare to call the title the writing of an imbecile .

Review by: Epic Sex Stories on Jan. 07, 2012 : star star star star star
Fast-paced, action-packed, and epic in scope. Warriors using four wands, one in each hand and boot, can fly and blast each other. Genghis Khan's Mongol Empire has conquered half the world and wages global war to conquer the other half. The story involves a progedy tragically orphaned young who grows up to become a leader fighting the Empire, dueling enemy champions and leading thousands of warriors in huge aerial battles. I liked the complex protagonist and his moral dilemas. Unlike Harry Potter, the wands (made from ancient trees) project fire and steel, but do not cast spells -- the word "magic" never appears in the book. The fighting and adult themes makes this unsuitable for kids, although teenagers may relate to the main character kicking ass against impossible odds while falling in love and forming friendships. It has no swear words, no graphic sex, and the violence isn't too gory, but much of the book involves various kinds of fighting. The fight scenes in the air (3D) are very creative compared to guys shooting at each other on the ground (2D). The ending both satisfied and left me wanting more.

This book is unique in the way it presents an alternate world history. It demonstrates knowledge about tactics, as well as ways that various cultures interact. It's based in a fictional copy of our world, so a lot of the places named are ones the reader will know or recognize.

noy recommended for children. Teens perhaps, but definetly not children.
