Tom Raimbault is one of many Orion starseeds of Lyran ancestry who have been incarnated on Earth. His purpose in this life is to serve as a cosmic receiver, channeler and invoker of energy. But like many starseeds, Tom has knowledge of metaphysical energy, use of quartz crystals, astral travel, number divination and the likes.
Tom's current projects as a starseed include the development and construction of power and element grids in both physical and virtual form. There's been an emerging knowledge of creating algorithmic spells that tap into the planets of our solar system for purposes of magick. In recent times, he's also been given the ability to conjure up allies that will surely assist him in the near future as needed.
As a writer, Tom specializes in the genres of fantasy, horror, macabre and erotica. Many of his works are published. Be sure to check out Tom’s ongoing Mapleview project, a series of novels that relay the strangeness and horror of his fictional town, Mapleview. Currently published in the series is Amber—the death mask, and The Tree Goddess—a novel of mystery and macabre. In the spring of 2013, the second book of the Amber trilogy—sex magick—will be published.
And don’t forget his debut publication, Freaked out Horror—ghosts, the macabre and really, weird things!
Tom Raimbault resides in the Chicago land area with his wife and two daughters. When not writing, he works as an RF technician at the lab of Freescale Semiconductor. He is self-described on his resume as a “technology professional” who has worked with cellular and IP infrastructure, biomedical equipment, emergency two-way radios and computer hardware.
Tom began to produce weird writings back in 2000 while working the graveyard shift. The nightly edits were emailed to a small collection of coworkers who looked forward to something unusual to keep them awake or humored.
This practice was ended when he was moved to a different shift. Sadly, his enjoyment of writing was forgotten for several years until the autumn of 2007 when old friends received a “blast from the past” email with the recognizable words, “Hello All”. The strange writings and short stories had resumed and a personal website was soon to follow.
Be sure to check his blog where he shares his daily freestyle writings, short stories and even deleted scenes or excerpts from his published books. http://talkaboutafterhours.blogspot.com/

Shutting off the outside world and entering a new realm.
Tom Raimbault is what owning a Kindle is all about, his novel The Tree Goddess from last year was my favorite read of the year. Introducing you too the town of Mapleview with a cast of characters with their twisted stories all wrapping and warping around each others. The book is a true thrill to read.
Now Tom returns with more from the town of Mapleview and a little town of Sillmac, this story taking place before The Tree Goddess. You don’t have to read either one of them first both are separate stories all within the same imagination of one another.
Tom this time takes us into the home and proud owner of Dickly’s Hardware. The family suffers some hard times with their daughters terrible accident that leaves her paralyzed, and then the mothers sickness that eventually leads to her death.
All this sorrow and heart break leads to Michael finding the charm and helpfulness of a beautiful young lady named Amber. What seems to be a dream come true both for Michael and Amber begins to build and morph into a nightmare of regret, obsession, and betrayal.
You become so involved in the characters in a book of Tom’s that the whole outside world just disappears, His writing style is captivating and at times he steps out from behind the curtain ands actually addresses the reader. So do yourself a favor get this book and all his other books. This guy should be populating the top sellers list.
Crawl up in a cozy blanket, open a bottle of fine wine and find yourself drifting off into the world created by Tom Raimbault, and then after your done wait for the next book to come out to take another vacation form reality.

This book is Fantastic!!
I love the way that Tom - as always explains where the idea of the book came from and his thoughts and insights into the character.
I wasn't sure what to expect from Amber - I have avoided anything 'Amber' related on Tom's blog purposely!! So at midnight last night I started to read - well I was awake until 3am reading - I couldn't stop! I woke up this morning and just HAD to carry on reading!
The way Tom has written this just grabbed me straight into the story and I was soon in 'Amber's World' I felt as though I could feel the emotions that the characters were feeling.
The storyline itself had me needing to find out more and had the perfect balance of background information without going off track. It really is a brilliantly written book which I found to be a real page turner
The only complaint I have is that I have to wait for the next installment!!!
