Extended description

Calder is normally a kick-ass hype comm tech, but because she's too afraid to transport via interstellar body faxing, she's spending time and credits to travel home the old-fashioned way by space ship. Then she discovers through her Paradise Operating Interface (in the form of a Red Messenger devil, no less) that the pilgrim ship won't be making its scheduled stop for her transfer. Instead, the ship will end in everyone's destruction—as planned.

What's a girl to do when trapped on a spaceship with a few hundred crazed religious fanatics who plan to end the ship's journey and the ship--forever? So it really is only one way, Calder realized; she'd thought they'd stop to drop her off at her destination first.
