An unexplained phenomena is troubling the continents of the Southern Hemisphere. Illnesses, accidents, erratic behaviour - all without an obvious cause. Dr. Jack Ellis and his team learn it could be linked to the mysterious cloud forming across the thermosphere, but can it be stopped before it's too late?

Chapter 1 Excerpt:
"It wasn’t just in the air though. Car pile-ups, derailments, clumsy accidents, record numbers of people calling in sick or just turning not up at all, everybody feeling something was wrong. Those feelings were everywhere. If you didn’t feel it yourself, you could bet you knew someone who did.
They never got better either. The healthy ones just plodded on, but it hit the sick harder. The old, the new-borns - they just couldn’t take it and their lungs gave way. Some cable channel preacher proclaiming it was the end of the world. The next day, a neo-conservative nut splashed across the headlines suggesting a punishment from God. Staunchest of all were the conspiracy theorists, insisting the Southern continents were being slowly poisoned. Russia, terrorists, nuclear energy, a New World Order - each one a different culprit to blame. The same sort you used to get saying the moon landing was a hoax, so Jack prided himself that he knew they were full of crap. This time though, even he had to admit there could have been some truth to it."
