My second life begins when I am sixty-five years old and stop working as a freelance psychotherapist. Being retired and divorced, I buy a nice house in a small village, hoping to enjoy the rest of my life here, preferably in peace and quiet. Sitting on my porch for the first time, a thirteen-year-old neighborhood boy shows up, and we immediately recognize each other from several 'past lives' as sworn blood brothers and best friends of around the same age. This unexpected realization turns my so convenient and comfortable life totally upside down, because I never before believed in new-age things as 'being born again' or 'reincarnation', and still think that dead is dead and death is the definitive end of everything...
Then, I meet the boy's eight-year-old 'little Gypsy brother', who used to live in my newly bought house and had his own room here, upstairs, second door to the left. Two years ago, the former owner of my house rescued his little Gypsy friend from a caravan fire, brought him to a hospital, comforted him with the loss of his parents, and finally took him into his house. Unfortunately, the now eight-year-old boy has a badly burnt body and face and still cannot remember very much from his Gypsy past. Feeling full of compassion for the little Gypsy orphan, I take him into my house and give him his 'old' room back.
Soon, the little boy turns out to be a powerful Shaman, my own son from a past trapper life, my Eternal Soul Mate from many other lives, and my grownup Vice Leader when I was our Beloved 'Gypsy Monarch Harold the Great' and founded our modern Gypsy way of living in much more Love and Compassion.
