Review by: Clare Davidson on Oct. 23, 2011 :
'The Dark Song' is a well written short story, which has an interesting take on the 'wee folk'. A struggling song writer buys and moves into an old house and, despite warnings from the local residents, stays there because she finds herself inspired to write.

The story builds up from there, with the description of the house (and the things in it), getting increasingly creepy. The story is well written and paced, with a main character who you want to root for. An engaging short story, which is definitely worth reading.

I very much enjoyed The Dark Song. It's very well written and the description is beautiful. I love how the writer can convey so much using so few words. I love the imagery, the character, and the mystery portrayed in the story.

I would definitely recommend reading The Dark Song.
