Very unusual book. I also wasn't enthused with the cover, but, the story is great! I just downloaded His Gray Attire and I know I will enjoy it.

I downloaded the book because the name was interesting, but the cover kept throwing me off it. However, I eventually decided to read it and I must say, Tanaquill is both exciting and surprising. I usually walk away from my readings feeling either robbed of my time, or robbed of a proper ending. The ending was a bit abrupt after the adventure, and that's my complaint. There was one more struggle in there, perhaps in the fairy palace. Akalle, this is an excellent work, but you've got me hanging here like a ripe mango waiting for that final breeze so I can finally drop. What happened between Chloe and so-and-so? That's what I kept waiting for. How did T's family respond to her mate showing up? Without tying up this loose end, you've given your readers a zircon for a diamond... and I want my diamond, damnit! Pretty please?

The story flowed nicely and the juxtaposition was perfect. Tanaquill was a good read.

I was interested in spite of myself and wanted to know more - and still do. I want more history not only about Gavin's past and his history, but more about Aubrey who isn't as fleshed out as the others. I wasn't exactly sure why he is even in the book...
I want more. Great read!

I loved this book! Great combination of romance and fantasy and historical fiction. Rachel's review is correct - beautiful story and world, characters have depth, and you're not quite sure if it's all going to work out or not.

What a wonderful book! I enjoyed it from cover to cover. The author has created beautiful, well-defined characters, a rich world, and seemingly impossible obstacles for the characters to overcome. Beautifully written.
