A very unusual romance novel! It lost me a bit especially towards the ending, but otherwise was beautifully- and well-written. I loved the Regency setting, and thought the writing was better than other published novels that are touted to "appeal to Jane Austen fans". I will go buy "Annabelle" now! :)

Very unusual book. I also wasn't enthused with the cover, but, the story is great! I just downloaded His Gray Attire and I know I will enjoy it.

The story flowed nicely and the juxtaposition was perfect. Tanaquill was a good read.

I was interested in spite of myself and wanted to know more - and still do. I want more history not only about Gavin's past and his history, but more about Aubrey who isn't as fleshed out as the others. I wasn't exactly sure why he is even in the book...

I want more. Great read!

I loved this book! Great combination of romance and fantasy and historical fiction. Rachel's review is correct - beautiful story and world, characters have depth, and you're not quite sure if it's all going to work out or not.

What a wonderful book! I enjoyed it from cover to cover. The author has created beautiful, well-defined characters, a rich world, and seemingly impossible obstacles for the characters to overcome. Beautifully written.
