I'd recommend Lust On The Rocks as a good 'beach read' but you might want to be near a shower while reading. ~ The Virtual Scribe

While this was an extremely steamy read what hit me most wasn't the romance but instead the sibling relationships. There was such reality and torment in Sam's relationship with her sister. The hurt and the fear as she tries to accept the change in her role from master to guide was heart-wrenching.

I can't wait for the next one! ~ Hott Books Reviews

I really liked LUST ON THE ROCKS. It was a little long and it started out a little slow for me, but eventually it picked up and I couldn’t put it down! While some aspects had me confused, I was really invested in the characters and how all of the plots concluded.

Samantha is a focused career woman angling to make partner, and Vic is a man bent on revenge. They come together with a combined goal, and heat and desire soon follow. Steamy love scenes and sexy scenery abound.

Thanks to the title, I expected sexy and steamy, and I was not disappointed. What I did not expect were such well-developed and interesting characters. There is nothing one-dimensional about this story.

The author builds the main characters by showing us their other relationships. Vic and his family were devastated by loss, one that defines the man he is now. Then there’s Samantha and her college-aged sister, Jessica. A story within a story is created when Jessica shows up on Samantha’s doorstep pregnant and not sure what to do.

I must admit… I hope there’s a story involving Jessica in the author’s pipeline. She’s young and damaged, but strong. However, I can see where readers could part ways on the pro-life versus pro-choice debate that ensues, even though I thought both sides were represented.

A guilty pleasure with the bonus of character development, I highly recommend it to readers who appreciate both romantic heat and story. Those readers who prefer a more straight-forward and light romance novel might need to skim through the moments of heavier material.

Well-written legal romance with a smart heroine and sexy hero.

A skilled and emotional writer crafted this story. Don't let the chick-lit-ish title fool you. This is not light reading fare. It is a well-written romance novel with deep characterization and plenty of cerebral action as well as bedroom action. The love story is believable and rings true to life. Some of the conflicts involved pro-life discussion but it wasn't preachy and there were other conflicts and goals that took precedence in the story. The dialogue was snappy, intelligent and provided great pacing for the unfolding storyline. I enjoyed all of the legal life details, which provided many emotional nuances of what it means to be a female lawyer with a passionate private life as well as a busy professional life. I also like books where the heroine has a sister and they are very close, like this book. I think that, too often, romances don't have well-developed sidekicks for the hero and heroine; This romance succeeds where many romances don't because of the depth of characterization of all of the players. Courtroom scenes are tough to write but the author did it so well. I would have given the book five stars except for one subplot resolution, which felt a bit contrived, but I discovered a new author and look forward to reading her other books. Worth reading and recommended. Four stars. Eve Paludan, Author of The Man Who Fell from the Sky (Angel Detectives Case #1) and Letters from David

Some parts of this book were well done while others not so much. I thought the suspenseful scenes (like the near drowning episode) were very well-written. I felt the tension and the frustration of the characters. Other scenes like Vic and Sam eating lunch and flirting with each other were very dry. Though I was told by the author that the two were attracted to each other, I didn't sense the chemistry or the attraction. I thought the underlying story was good, but it felt like a book written on formula rather than passion. There was a little too much telling and not enough showing. But it wasn't bad.

The first thing I liked about this book was the fact that both the hero and the heroine were lawyers. It's been some time since I've read a book about a lawyer. And I enjoyed the coaching of the witnesses, seeing how they tried to figure out what the best way to question a witness was, who was better at captivating the jury, every little detail about the case.

Sam Rawlings is a very interesting character. She's a very good lawyer in my opinion. She's also sarcastic, stubborn, fun, sexy. I liked that about her. She's a very complex character. She's also the oldest sister and she had to help raise her brothers and sisters. So she's clearly used to being in control of the situation and to take some or all decisions. I think this last part affects her relationships, because she has that "I'm older, so I know better" attitude sometimes. I like the fact that in the end, she admits when she's wrong.

Vic is an easy guy to like. He's fun, sexy, smart, sweet, a very good listener and a good friend. His past is really painful and it made me really sad. It also made me like him more, because for someone who's been through so much at an early age, he wasn't bitter or angry at the world.

This book was very good, fun, light, sexy, romantic. It was a good read.

This was a fresh breath away from my normal reading of paranormal romance and erotic romance. Lust on the Rocks still got my engines going, but what I loved is the story that kept it all going. The "Lust" was a great asset to the story, but it's not what carried the story and kept me glued to my seat turning the pages. A strong confidant lead woman, an equally strong leading man made for a great set up for some hot sexual tension.

What I really liked about this book is that I was able to connect with almost all the characters in some way. The loss of a family member, a mistake I wish I could take back, anger, the need for revenge, and more. Yup I loved this book. A roller coaster of emotions you can feel as though you are experiencing them yourself. If you like romance, drama, and a good court case, then go grab this one for yourself.
